All About Forrest Gump

Sexuality: In the film Forrest Gump is a heterosexual man, and most of the actors and actresses in the film are heterosexual as well. This was around the time where other sexualities weren't heard of or explored as much. "Sexuality was one of the themes that the movie explored".  

There was one particular moment in the film where Forrest's mother went up to his school to discuss Forrest's low intellignece with his principal. The principal kept telling Ms. Gump that Forrest was a 'different' boy and that his score was very low and that he needed to be sent to a 'special school'. Forrest's mom goes on a rant about how everyone's different, and how he should get the same opportunity at the other students at the prestigious school she want's to send Forrest. After speaking to the principal for a while he finally asks "where is Mr. Gump, Mrs. Gump" to which she replies with "he's on vacation". That night you can see Forrest sitting outside and you can hear what sounds like moans coming from inside the house. At this point in the film it doesn't actually say that his mother used he sexuality and had sex with the principal to get what she wanted, which was to be able to send Forrest to his school, but you can make the inference by all of the clues.
