Gender: In this film there's a lot of masculinity, but there is also feminism as well. In the movie there are so many parts where masculinity is shown. For example when Forrest was in the army. This part of the film showed a lot of masculinity because Forrest almost lost his life in the war fighting, she tried saving so many of the soldiers. He would keep running back to where the bombs were striking and trying to find and save as many people he could even though he was injured. Another masculine part in the film is when Forrest played football. Football in general is a very manly and masculine sport, nd Forrest was very good at playing it. Another part in the movie that showed this was when Forrest tried to save Jenny from a guy. The guy ended up hitting Jenny and Forrest took it in his own hands to protect her.
Gender Continued: There is also some parts of feminism in the film. A lot of the feminism that is shown in the movie comes from Forrest's mom. She always made sure he was okay and was always worried about him. You could say that Forrest was a 'mama's boy'. She pampered him quite a lot and was always so caring when it came to Forrest.
